Each Little League baseball all-star season brings thrills and excitement to communities across America and throughout the world. Family, friends and followers all want to know how their group of all-stars will do. Will they win a game, a district, or will they become a special team.
Last season the Moreland Little League major division all-stars made it all the way to San Bernardino for the Little League West Regional. No District 44 team had done that since Sunnyvale National’s major squad, led by future pros Troy Tulowitzki and Robert Perry, reached the West Regional final in 1997. A few years later many of the same Sunnyvale National stars made it to the Senior Little League World Series and placed third.
The 2008 all-star season is under way. Here are the rosters of the local teams. Complete schedules and results can be found at the District 44 website, www.district44.org.
